FAQ

KOLORA is a permanent hair color cream, while KOLORA ZERO is no ammonia hair color. The “ZERO” formula, free of ammonia, PPD (para-phenylendiames), resorcinol, 1-naphthol, persulfates, SLS/SLES, mineral oils and parabens, reduces the risk of allergic reactions in coloring.

The result will depend on your natural hair colour and the percentage of white hairs. Choose a shade and see if it matches your natural colour.

If in doubt, make a hair strand test. If you like the result, proceed with entire hair colouring.

Choose a shade close to your natural hair colour: up to 2 shades lighter or darker than your current hair colour.
Since it is difficult to make an already dyed hair lighter, if this is the case with you, choose a darker shade.
If you are a darker or olive skin tone, try the warm brown shades of Kolora. The colder shades are more suited to a cold or pink skin tone.

Yes, KOLORA contains ammonia. This ensures perfect coverage of white hairs which is hard to achieve with ammonia-free hair colour formula.

KOLORA covers entirely the white hairs and ensures a permanent and even colour.

If your natural hair colour is between light blonde and dark blonde, you can lighten your hair by up to 2 shades using 7.0 Kolora Natural blonde, 7.65 Kolora Almond blonde, 8.0 Kolora Golden blonde, and 9.8 Kolora Ash blonde, or by up to 3 shades using 10.2 Kolora Pearl blonde.

Do not wash your hair the day you intend to do the colouring. Experts recommend that you wait 24 to 48 hours after washing the hair before applying hair dye. Freshly washed hair is devoid of fat, which helps to facilitate absorption of hair dye.

To ensure proper use, read the instructions leaflet for mixture preparation and application which is enclosed in the hair dye packaging.

Follow these 5 steps for convenient and easy coloration:

  • 1. Always perform a skin allergy alert test 48 hours before each use of the product!
  • 2. Start the application immediately after the mixture (dye + developer) has been prepared. Do not use any metal tools or containers!
  • 3. Massage the entire length of the hair to ensure better penetration of the dye inside the hair, especially at root level.
  • 4. Wait for as long as it is indicated for the hair color to take effect.
  • 5. Rinse thoroughly and apply the nourishing care conditioner after coloring. Do not use shampoo to wash the hair dye!

The usual developing time of hair dye is 30 minutes and it ensures saturated colour result. For lighter shades and in case of stubborn grey hairs, you may extend the time up to 45 minutes in order to obtain more intense colour and even hair coverage.

No. KOLORA hair colour requires a more precise application. Follow these 3 steps:
1. Divide the hair into separate sections.
2. Apply the mixture on the roots and massage it in.
3. Apply it on the entire length of the hair and comb it to obtain an even colour.

As with most hair colours, it depends on the length and thickness of your hair.  KOLORA is supplied in 60 ml pack, sufficient for colouring of even longer and thicker hair.

When rinsing your hair from the dye, it has the properties of a shampoo. Therefore it is not necessary to use a shampoo. After rinsing the hair colour, apply the restoring conditioner to protect and fix the colour.

No, KOLORA does not weaken hair : the hair colour formula was developed to make the hair soft, smooth and shiny.
